Simply Artichoke

1 medium Artichoke

1/2 a stick of butter (melted)

2 cloves of garlic

1 teaspoon of chives

Cut artichoke’s prickle’s off the ends. Spread out the leaves or try to by one that is very loose. Fill a pot with water and place the artichoke in it but make sure that it is submerged. Bring the water to a boil and lightly salt. Lower temp to a simmer and leave in covered pot for 30 to 40 min. It is done when you can pull the leaves away easily. Melt butter, smash garlic, and chop chives and add the all to a little bowl to dip the artichoke in. Best way to eat the artichoke is to peel the leaves of the stem and dip in butter then put it in your mouth and scrap all the meat out with your teeth.
